About Us...

The Casey Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) was formed in 2017. With the aim of firstly enriching the cultural landscape of the local municipality and secondly to provide local professionals and aspiring amateurs a place to practise and further develop their art.

With Artistic Director and Conductor Joseph Lallo, and many exceptionally talented musicians travelling great distances to participate in professional and semi-professional groups, the founders of the orchestra saw the potential to start a substantial ensemble locally.

The CPO’s future mission is to:
• Perform orchestral and chamber music in the City of Casey & outer South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne
• Provide opportunities for professional musicians to further develop and maintain their skills to an international standard.
• Provide opportunities for emerging musicians to play alongside professional players.
• Provide opportunities for soloists to perform with a philharmonic orchestra.
• Encourage the performance and appreciation of orchestral and chamber music to a diverse range of the community.
